What is the difference between mould "hygiene science" and mould "remediation"?

Hygiene Science removes a visible stain from a surface using a bleach-based or detergent product. The fungal organism in the substrate is not killed; the spore burden in the air is not reduced; the underlying moisture source is not addressed. Within 6-12 weeks the contamination returns. Remediation is a regulated process: contain the affected zone, eliminate the moisture source, extract and dispose of contaminated material, treat exposed substrates with an antifungal protocol, and verify post-treatment with independent laboratory sampling. Why is your diagnostic not offered free when other companies offer it free inspections?

A free inspection is a sales visit; ours is a clinical engagement. A certified hygiene inspector attends with thermal imaging, digital hygrometry and laboratory-grade air-quality instrumentation, and you receive a written diagnostic report whether or not you proceed with remediation. The diagnostic is a deliverable, not a quote, and the fee is credited in full against any subsequent remediation programme. Should you commission the full remediation, the programme then opens with our scientists taking sealed swabs for laboratory culture and fungal DNA identification, so the treatment is engineered around the exact species present.

How long does a typical remediation project take?

A single-zone remediation (one ceiling area, one bathroom, or one wet zone) takes 2-3 working days from containment to verification. A whole-unit remediation of a 3-bedroom property takes 5-7 working days. Diagnostic results are returned within 7 working days of sampling.
